HOUND ➴ Operating within the Dravanian Forelands and throughout Eorzea, The Huntsman's College of Conservation & Wildlife Management, also known as Bloodhound's College, is an independent Sharlayan guild company that specializes in the research, education, and conservation of terrestrial life throughout the realm and ecological phenomena across the star.
About Us
An academic concern born within the former Sharlayan colony of the Dravanian Hinterlands, the Huntsman's College of Conversation & Wildfire Management has served both its Sharlayan community and its Eorzean neighbors as the cornerstone for studying both the ecological effects and potential repercussions of aetheric phenomena across the star for at least thirty winters.
HOUND is a Sharlayan-centric, light to medium RP & PvE-focused FC on the Crystal data center. We are an inclusive, LGBTQ+ friendly space with an emphasis on Sharlayan-aligned world-building, casual content progression, and more! If you are interested in our humble company, feel free to contact us!

Company Rules
These rules apply to both In-Character & Out-of-Character conduct! Subject to change with or without notice.
Be Respectful — This is an inclusive, LGBTQ+ adult space. Discriminatory, racist, derogatory, LGBTQ-phobic or otherwise disrespectful behavior will not be tolerated. Be mindful of both yourself and others.
Real-Life responsibilities take priority — We will never ask our members or company guests to put our events or activities above their personal needs. Work, school, health, and other personal matters should always come first.
IC & OOC must remain separate at all times — Please ensure a separation between your IC & OOC behavior and activities. Inform us if you have any concerns or issues with others either in-character or out-of-character so we can help.
Help foster our community — We strive to foster a robust, player-driven community. Members are encouraged to play together or RP amongst themselves & create member-driven events alongside any FC-centric activities.
Roleplay is OPTIONAL for all members — Though we are a roleplay-centered FC, we will not require members to participate in RP events if they are unable or uninterested. Participate as best you can, when you can.
Out-of-Game contact by request only — Please do not feel pressured to contact us out-of-game. Participation in any out-of-game activities is strictly voluntary — all announcements, events & FC news will always be shared in-game.
Roleplay Rules
The following are Roleplay-specific guidelines. Subject to change with or without notice.
*Active player characters must be at least 18+ or older. Children & minors are reserved for background NPCs only.
Moderately Lore-Abiding — Because we are a Sharlayan-focused RP space, we are generally lore-abiding — however we will not penalize lore-bending on a case-by-case basis. Keep in mind that extreme lore-breaking is highly discouraged & god-modding is prohibited.
Actions WILL have consequences — Understand that IC actions will be subject to appropriate IC consequences, based on IC circumstances. We will not discourage RP explorations into illicit or illegal activities, but there may be consequences!
Combat RP is strictly roll-based — Combat RP must follow general roll-based rules. Do not take actions against other characters without discussion or appropriate rolls. Failure to comply will result is disciplinary action, both IC & OOC. God-modding & powerplay is strictly prohibited.
NSFW / Mature roleplay policy — We are an adult-oriented space; Players & characters are expected to be at least 18+ or older* — Any NSFW or explicit RP is not permitted in public FC chats & spaces. Please keep these types of RP private.

Q → What kind of FC is this?
We are a Sharlayan-specific RP company that enjoys casual PvE-content progression, midcore raiding & hunt activities. We have our own FC house and access to maxed ranked company buffs & entitlements.
Q → What is your activity policy?
We are not strict on our current policy - we simply ask that you try to be as active as possible! Please know that we may occasionally remove inactive players whom we cannot contact.
Q → Are you openly recruiting?
We unfortunately are NOT openly recruiting at this time. We are accepting new members through recommendations & inquiries via our application process, so feel free to reach out to us if you are interested!
Q → What about your FC ranks?
FC ranks currently indicate a level of officer privileges as well as general categorization — there is not a cemented hierarchy within our company. We are all Hunters, after all!
Q → Do you have to RP to join?
Not at all! Though we are an RP-centric company, we do not require our members to RP at anytime. If you are simply interested in our setting or our company, we are happy to welcome all sorts of players in our ranks!
Q → Do you have to be a Sharlayan OC?
Nope! We are happy to have a variety of different kinds of characters in our ranks so as long as they abide by our general FC rules. If you have questions about your character, let us know!
Akademos Amphora
An Ishgardian estate along the boundary of the Coerthas Western Highlands and the Chocobo Forest, it once belonged to the Priedaux family of Ishgard before its abandonment during the events of the Seventh Umbral Calamity. After its acquisition and renovation by Archon & Hunter-Scholar, Mjira Ardenne, the estate now serves as a base of operations for Bloodhound's College and the Tooth & Claw hunting lodge.
